I needed help configuring and adding laptops to my wireless network at work and I went to Best Buy and hired Geek Squad to do the work for me. They managed to finally get things working but not after three visitis and a minimum charge of $150 per visit not including their other charges. Geek Squad is a very expensive alternative for computer support and I would not recommend them ever to anyone.

Bigmac777 from Madison, Mississippi says,
I was having some problems with my Best Buy Rewards Card. I have recently moved and changed my phone number. While making a purchase of two DVD’s the cashier asked for my phone number. So I put in the new phone number for the card. Three days later I returned to Best Buy again (same store). While I was checking out the cashier asked for my phone number. During a search under the new phone number that I had given them, my name and address could not be located in their computer system. Several customer’s were standing in line and I did not want them getting mad at me so I let the matter go.
The next day I called the 1-800 number and spoke to a Customer Rep and told him what I had experienced the previous day while at one of their stores. He told me that he would change the phone number and put my new phone number in again.
The next day I went to Best Buy again and during the checkout I gave my phone number. The cashier could not locate my account again. She requested my first and last name. During the search of my name she could not locate any information again. So I told her not to worry about it, because there were several customer, in line and that I did not want them getting angry at me.
I think that the next time Best Buy requests my phone number. I will just say Forget it.
