The customer service at Verizon is hit or miss. Sometimes they are helpful and other times they are rude and seem to care less about the customer. They have awful coverage on a property I bought. It is not that far from the freeway or a major city. I do in fact go to the “Dead Zone” and will have to switch to a new carrier when I move.

I have the envy 2 phone and it is the 2nd one that I have had in less than 3 months. I took it up to the Verizon booth located in the Circuit City store off Craycroft and Broadway in Tucson because of issues I was having with it. Some young kid tried to tell me that it needs a software update and all of his friends have the envy 2 and they have not had one problem with it!! I told him I am not concerned about his friend’s cell phones. He would not give me a new phone and was quite rude so I left the store.

I then drove up the street to a Verizon store off Speedway and the manager there told me that a software update would not have taken take care of the issue I was having with the phone. The lock function would not allow me to dial a phone number unless I opened the phone and tried dialing off the keyboard. The phone would also power off when I went to send a photo once it was taken from the phone. I asked the manager if I could get a new phone. He said he did not have any new phones in his store and said he would send me a replacement phone.

I went next door to eat at Subway to give him time to upload software for the powering off issue and take care of other customers. I then came back and I noticed another employee grab a new envy 2 phone out of the back. I asked to speak to the manager once again. I told him I do not appreciate him lying to me about the inventory of the phone in his store and told him I would contact his boss as soon as I left the store. Incredible.
