You would think a company as large as Mcdonalds would have food safety under control, think again! After a recent visit to Mcdonalds in Big Bear Lake CA Both my wife and I became ill within a half hour after eating, we both had Big mac burgers. I was reminded of the jack in the box incident seveal years back that killed a small girl. To many cases of food poisining are not taken serious.

I was craving some hot fresh fries so I stopped by the McDonalds once again off of I-19 and Sahuarita road. I ordered a big mac meal with a dr. pepper and two apple pies. The woman at the first window was very friendly and had a nice smile and personality. I asked her to please remind people up front that I wanted fresh fries. She smiled and said no problem.
I drove up to the second window and the girl handed me my food and I asked her if the fries were fresh. She replied I did not order french fries. I assured her that I ordered the combo meal. She said look at your receipt, if you want fries you will have to pay extra. I asked to speak with the manager. Jenny came over and told me the same thing. I asked her how much is the combo meal compared to what I just spent. She slammed the window shut; turned and walked away and then threw her hands up in the air. She came back and said I think it is $6.50. I said well, please give me back 7 cents since I had spent $6.57 and put some fries in my bag. She said no. I then said here I do not want the food and wanted my money back. She told me to pull forward. I said no, that’s ok I will wait right here and wait for my refund. I could see 4 to 5 cars behind me. She then gave me my money back and said have a nice day. I said Jenny you wil be hearing from your corporate office.
I then drove down the street and noticed I forgot to give them the dr. pepper back. I took a sip and it was nothing but colored water and syrup. Incredible!! I then went down the street to Burger King and ordered a whopper.

I went through drive-thru tonight off Sahuarita Rd. and I-19. I asked for hot fresh fries. I paid and drove up to next window and the girl handed me my food and I tried one of the french fries and it was warm at best. I said excuse me I was waiting on fresh hot fries and handed them back to the girl. She rolled her eyes and said they just came up as she touched the french fries. I said please be my guest and try them, trust me they are not hot.
I pulled around to the front of the restaurant and a different girl delivered them to my car and apologized which I thought was nice. I asked her to tell the manager Donna about the drive-thru girl’s comments. Wow!
